The Fiat124 Spider has the option of having a factory fitted reversing camera, displaying on the central screen. Can the UK Abarth model have this too?

IFiat camerat's a nice feature which works effectively, especially as the car has a relatively small rear window, with passenger side wingmirror which doesn't auto dip to show the curb.

Unfortunately Fiat chose to not allow this feature on the top of the range Abarth models in the UK. Not as standard equipment, not as an option. Simply not available!

As a result of that, we set out to find a way to retrofit a camera to the 124 spider that looks and acts as similarly to the factory camera as possible.

After literally months of research and a few false starts, we now have a system which looks and acts almost exactly the same as the factory fit system, and which is completely plug and play. No software changes are needed to the car's entertainment system, and no permanent changes are necessary in the car, and everything can be removed without leaving any marks shuold you wish to do so.

Retrofit CameraAfter a lot of interest on Facebook and elsewhere, we've now modified the installation and produced a kit, containing all the parts needed for anyone else to retrofit a reversing cmera to their 124 spider. There is nothing more complicated than running a few wires and plugging in some pre-configured plugs.

This kit is now available to buy and fit at home, or to have fitted by us if you prefer. For more information, view our installation instructions
